About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of growth planning for water and sewerage networks. This includes growth and demand forecasting, network hydraulic modelling and associated master planning.

This role is responsible for the development of network related projects into business cases ready to handover to capital delivery. This will ensure EGW meets its business objectives through providing network assets that meet the required level of service to customers now and in the future.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need a well-developed engineering knowledge of water and sewerage systems, and experience of hydraulic modelling principles and processes. We are looking for a team member with skills gained through at least 5 years relevant experience in infrastructure planning, asset management, or engineering design, and program or project management.

This role will require a high level of communication and engagement skills to enable you to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure network infrastructure planning is fit for purpose. Experience in the preparation of high-level business cases and reports on complex matters is highly desirable.

This full-time ongoing role is substantively based at our Bairnsdale Head Office, however flexible work conditions may be negotiated for the right candidate.

This role has been classified as per our Enterprise Agreement as a Band 4 position, with Total Remuneration Package (TRP) of $101,046 - $126,929 per annum (including 11% Superannuation) based on skills, experience and qualifications.
