Senior Project Manager

About the Role

In this role you will be a part of a team that will be delivering a wide variety of infrastructure projects that will:

  • Support one of the Australia’s largest movements of people to regional areas from our major cities across the nation since the gold rush including many of the regional cities and small towns in the Coliban Water region.
  • Ensure that we prepare and adapt to the challenges of climate change through investments in renewable emerging and prioritising energy efficiency within new infrastructure and renewals.
  • Deliver major upgrades to existing water and wastewater treatment plants enabling optimal asset operation and performance to meet our customer and stakeholder needs now and into the future.

Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure, you will be supporting the delivery of the capital portfolio for Coliban Water which in turn will support one of the Australia’s largest movements of people to regional areas from our major cities across the nation since the gold rush including many of the regional cities and small towns in the Coliban Water region.

What we are looking for

Whilst this role will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of projects, it will be focused on the delivery of major upgrades to our water and wastewater treatment plants.

This means we will be looking for someone who is experienced in delivering major projects and preferably major water treatment or wastewater treatment upgrade projects or similar major process plant upgrades.

An exceptional level of responsibility and commitment is expected of you and success in this role is dependent on your ability to apply sound and appropriate engineering principles as well as:

  • A demonstrated ability to deliver complex process upgrade projects on time, on budget meeting all performance requirements.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and ability to apply sound and appropriate engineering principles and practices
  • A professionally recognised tertiary Engineering qualification.
  • Eligibility for Charted Professional Engineer status of the Institution of Engineers Australia or Australian Institute of Project Management
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships as well as effectively consult, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve win/win outcomes
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety legislation and training in relevant areas
  • A current Victorian Drivers licence

Salary

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $108,520 - $120,152 base salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
