Our client is a leading Engineering consultancy offering comprehensive services ranging from planning and investigation to design, construction, project management, and maintenance with various office locations across South East Queensland.

With an abundance of projects in the pipeline, this position presents an outstanding opportunity for an Engineer experienced in water modeling and analysis to expand their skills in flood engineering, particularly for private development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize priority software such as TUFLOW, MUSIC, and QGIS for flood modelling and analysis
• Proficiency in additional software including XPSWMM, ACAD, DRAINS, ICM, RAFTS, URBS, WBNM, and MIKE is advantageous
• Experience in preparing Stormwater Management Plans (SMPs), Hydrologic Impact Assessments (HIAs), Flood Studies, general stormwater/flood correspondence, Drainage Studies, and Options Assessment reports
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 (ARR2019) and the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual (QUDM)

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in flood engineering
• Strong knowledge of Queensland engineering standards and practices
• Proficiency in priority software packages for flood modelling and analysis
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in both independent work and collaboration within a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
